The quality of Frank’s (and Bruce and Rintze’s) production in CSL and the citeproc-js processor is paid tribute by the sheer number of other reference manager programs that have adopted it – and frankly would be the poorer without it.

We researchers owe you one.

Thank you!
Jimme

I’ve had faculty inquire about Bluebook and many students are using Chicago Manual. The undergrads are used to using a popular data entry software product my library subscribes to — a great product for beginners; however, they need to annotate their bibliographies. Since Chicago uses the note form (14.283), the subscription product places the legal entries as a note – the students cannot use the product to generate their annotated bibliography! I contacted the company and they cited Chicago Manual 14.283; there is no work around. I use Zotero for my own research (& refer upperclassmen, grad students and faculty to it). I used Zotero’s support posts to allow my annotations to display for MLA as I prepare an annotated bibliography (required a minor code change). Request: please keep annotation display in mind for scholars. Again, I highly anticipate your guide.

He has been a huge help, and I appreciate his enthusiasm and dedication.
